Traffic back to Denver was AWFUL though so keep that in mind.

Kenosha pass is fabulous!! 9/27 Got there around 6:30am (waited till 7 to start) and there were still about 5-10 parking spots left. The world famous Coney Island hot dog stand is on the outskirts of Bailey – a fun place to stop for ice cream and hotdogs after your hike on the Colorado Trail. The pass is heavily trafficked by hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders along the Colorado Trail and has made many appearances in literature and pop culture.

Today September 20, 2020. Not many birds and only chipmunks and squirrels. Leaves were turning. Hard to find the trailhead—there not a lot of signs and too many people. Go the whole 3.5 miles out for the best views, and if you're up to it go another mile - aspens are worth it!

However, this is a great trail; it is easy to traverse and challenging and is fabulous even without the leaves.

Great weather for hike.... very nice cool breeze. On the way out I picked them up and carried out over 2lbs of dog poop. We found a pair of pant leggings at the stream bottom, 3.2 mile in and returned them to the trailhead for the owner to claim. The fall colors are great right now in Kenosha Pass. Local Information.

Compared to most moderate Colorado trails on here I would say this is a much easier hike.
