I mostly agree, and it wouldn’t matter much to me if DB were removed from Arena defenses. If so, what the heck do you do with Summer’s Fury that’s so effective? Being able to hit the entire enemy team for significant amounts of damage (especially when stacking yellow troops) plus the party-wide barrier is wildly out of balance compared to the troops available for Arena. etc, etc forever…. The opportunity cost has been raising city levels and character ranks as I’m not spending any souls while I do this. I don’t play every day but I grind with Pharos Ra and use my gold on blue guild rewards, and convert my gems into souls to give me a boost. That “generate red gems” can also read “give your opponent a free turn”, and is particularly risky against a DB opponent. I never cared about Hero classes, so I’m still the same one I was when I started playing-- Warlord, fully ascended and traited of course. I have heard from people that Dawnbringer is good. I feel the need to point out that nobody asks for a nerf of Dawnbringer. While it is clearly the strongest weapon in arena, i don’t feel it is anywhere near to destroying Arena. Having yet another area of the game where you stand a high chance of getting steamrolled no matter what you do based on one card just plain sucks. What I cannot understand is why those who use DB in Arena have any problem with not having DB in Arena’s defenses. Dawnbringer is not exactly the issue, the crazy loops of Forest Troll+Nyx are the engine behind this team. I have no problem beating Dawnbringer in PvP. That’s 2 or 3 in an 8 match run, on average. Dawnbringer. Yes, DB is very good but your time can be better spent doing other things until you have Pharos and are pretty much end game. people can set up arena defense team to make you miserable? Its base damage is the same as Dawnbringer, but that extra damage for yellow troops on DB is important, too, right? How long of a grind time did you find didn't burn you out at a single go? Nerf any one of these troops, and it’ll just get tweaked to some other variant. Surely there will be other mythic weapons down the line, probably with a similar price tag. Runic Blade at least only attacks one troop at a time, and doesn’t barrier the entire AI team. I think you’re right about that, but not entirely sure. The meta currently is actually fairly varied compared to some historic phases of the game.
